*The SAT scores which MCA publishes includes the Critical Reading and Math portions only of the SAT test due to the fact that the majority of colleges and universities still utilize only these two scores in their decision-making process of admitting students. [From the institutional profile of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill] Since this is only the fourth year of the writing portion of the SAT, colleges and universities are still collecting data on how these scores accurately predict college success. Until they know how to interpret these scores, most colleges are not using this portion in making admissions decisions at this point. The average composite score for MCA students, including the writing component, is 1567 that being compared to the national average of 1511.
