STATEMENT OF VISION, PURPOSE, GOALS, AND COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Our Vision

The vision of Metrolina Christian Academy is to trust our Lord as we seek academic and Christian excellence. We believe this will be accomplished with much prayer, commitment, and great leadership among the administration and faculty, supported by a strong base of parental involvement. We envision MCA as an accredited institution providing preschool, lower school, and upper school education to the families and community surrounding First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. We believe it is God’s plan to buy land, erect buildings, and hire staff to provide quality education to prepare our students to enter the business world or to enter colleges that will prepare them for the professions God has chosen for them. Our goal is to prepare students to be productive, Christ-like citizens contributing to their communities and to this world.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Metrolina Christian Academy is . . .

  • To promote the love of Jesus

  • To pursue excellence in education

  • To teamwork with our parents and churches

Our Goals

  • To offer quality preschool, lower school, and upper school through twelfth grade.

  • To have meaningful, Spirit-controlled chapel services for students and staff.

  • To establish a godly foundation for preschool children to include:

    • Knowing that Jesus loves them.

    • That we, the staff, love them.

    • That their parents love them.

    • That God made them in His image, unique and special individuals.

    • That God’s Word, The Bible, is true.

  • To build on that foundation with other students and teach them the following:

    • God’s plan of salvation through Christ.

    • The inerrancy, eternal nature, and inspiration of the Bible.

    • The truth that God has a purpose and plan for their lives.

    • That they are each responsible for their own actions to God, to parents, to school, to each other, and to society.

  • To follow up on professions of faith made among the student body, contacting parents, and offering the services of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail.

  • To pray for and witness to parents, siblings, and extended family members of students, gently and lovingly pointing them to the Savior.

  • To seek God’s will in purchasing land and erecting a facility for Metrolina Christian Academy.

  • To build a reputation as the finest, most loving preschool facility in Union County.

  • To be an asset to First Baptist Church, adding positively to its ministry and testimony in this community.

  • To be a lighthouse in the community pointing our students, their families, and our neighbors to Christ.

  • To provide meaningful extra-curricular activities to enrich the educational, social, and spiritual experiences of our students.

  • To provide quality Christ-centered education that prepares students to be productive, contributing members of society.

  • To be a school of global influence through an emphasis on world evangelization.
