The foundation of Metrolina Christian Academy’s Academic Services Program is a simple one: Every child learns differently because God created each one uniquely. Students with recognized learning differences should be provided the opportunity of a Christian education within a Christian school environment. While we are a school with multiple pathways for students to follow in pursuit of their high school diploma, our rigorous academic standards and student expectations are designed to meet the learning needs of all of our students. Therefore, the Academic Support Program (ASP) was developed to support the learning needs of students who may need additional academic assistance. Our EXPLORE Program was created to provide challenges for students who desire “out of the box” opportunities that allow them to delve deeper in their learning.
The mission of Academic Services is to assist parents and teachers as they discover the learning differences in students and provide prescriptive assistance as needed. Our teachers and other support professionals work as a team to move students forward to achieve and maximize their God-given academic potential. We desire to provide an appropriate educational program that is conducive to a successful learning experience for all students while enrolled at Metrolina Christian Academy.
This program provides student support and enrichment opportunities for children:
• experiencing difficulty in a particular academic discipline or class
• recognized with a specific, diagnosed learning need
• transitioning to Metrolina and filling the curriculum gaps
• seeking stimulating projects that challenge bright minds
