Welcome to the Metrolina Christian Academy website for Upper School. We pray you find the information on this website to be both helpful and informative. It is our mission at MCA to lovingly lead and equip students for kingdom living and we seek to fulfill this calling in Upper School by providing a Christ-centered, biblically based education that prepares students for college, career, and life.
At MCA, we have multiple tracks for students to follow in pursuit of their high school diploma. Students can follow a college preparatory track that gives the student all of the necessary course work to qualify for any North Carolina system university. This track can also include honor courses that are more academically rigorous and enhance student’s abilities to flourish at the university level. We also can accommodate students who will be preparing for a smaller college, technical school, community college or the work force. We have a concurrent enrollment program through South Piedmont Community College that allows student to receive college credit for courses taken during high school. Our students score well above the state and national average on college admission tests. Along with these opportunities, we also have a Fine Arts program, Athletic program, clubs, and many other activities to enhance a student’s high school experience. All of these programs are administered and taught through a biblically based and Christ centered worldview.
Our Middle School program is planned to be developmentally appropriate to prepare students for high school. We stress student’s mathematical and language arts development as the keys to academic success at the next level. Schedules have been simplified to allow more time in these key areas and to promote the development of organizational skills and time management. Our middle school students consistently score at an average of the seventieth percentile on nationally normed standardized tests. Students are also provided a strong biblical foundation for personal ownership of the Christian faith and to see the world through the lens of Scripture. Students can also participate in several different Athletic programs, Fine Arts, and many clubs and activities.
At MCA, we are constantly seeking to improve all areas of our Upper School programs and our students have and continue to flourish when they graduate from MCA. The heart of who we are is our Christ center focus. We are intentional in preparing our students to live for Christ. We challenge the students with excellent weekly chapel programs and through yearly Bible course work. More than any other value is our desire that students know Christ and follow Him in Kingdom Living.
Please contact me or my office if there is any way we can help you with the education and spiritual growth of your children.
Training a generation to have a heart for Him,
