ACSI Geography Bee
Students in fifth through eighth grade are chosen to participate in the ACSI Geography Bee based on their interest and knowledge of God’s world and the people that were created by Him. The purpose of this opportunity is to complement the classroom teachers’ efforts to promote and expand student interest in this great big world we live in.
ACSI Math Olympics
The ACSI Math Competition is held annually for students in sixth through eighth grades. The objective is to stimulate an interest in math and provide opportunities for fellowship with math students from other Christian schools. Students are also recognized for their achievements and are given the opportunity to glorify God through their mathematical abilities.
ACSI Speech Meet
The upper school has made public speaking an essential part of its curriculum, since these are necessary skills our students will need in their future ministries and careers. Students in third through eighth grades are strongly encouraged by their teachers to select and perform a speech selection as they compete against students from other Christian schools at the ACSI Regional Speech Meet. The purpose of the Speech Meet is to develop communication skills, poise and confidence in speaking before an audience.
ACSI Spelling Bee
The ACSI Spelling Bee is held annually for students in fifth through eighth grades. ACSI provides a list of spelling words designed to help students integrate both writing and reading exercises with spelling. The objective of this competition is to develop good spelling habits, good vocabulary, and proper communication as well as to promote fellowship with students from other Christian schools.
Patriot’s Day is a day we take a moment to reflect and remember those we lost and honor those who still serve with a special ceremony held on September 11th.
Bible Bowl is middle school event that showcases students with excellent Bible knowledge in a Jeopardy style competition between the grades.
Field Day is a day for 6th- 8th grade students to come together and enjoy a day of outside and inside activities as we close out the school year. Field Day is an extension of PE and is designed to encourage students to stay active as it promotes healthy living in a variety of fun physical activities.
