Christian Character Awards

Each year as part of the end of year awards, upper school students are chosen to receive the Christian Character Awards base on their outstanding Christian character.

  • The Barnabas Award is given because of the encouragement to those who need that extra little word.
  • The Joseph Award is given because of their gifts of mercy, compassion, and forgiveness.
  • The Paul Award is given because of the continuous concern for missionaries.
  • The Timothy Award is given because of the desire to serve others and present a Christ-like attitude in all they do.

History Day

History Day is set aside to educate students on various aspects of the American historical experience. Local museums, historical sites and knowledgeable speakers visit students to provide visual and hands-on experiences to acquaint students with local history and culture.

Homecoming/Warrior Spirit Week

MCA Homecoming is held in the fall with a weeklong celebration of school spirit. The week begins with daily themed dress-up days and usually ends with a pep rally. The Homecoming Court consists of high school young ladies from each grade, chosen by their peers.  The Homecoming Court is driven to the football field in a limousine and escorted to the middle of the field during halftime where the Homecoming Queen is announced. We welcome our valued alumni who always visit in a chance to reconnect with their fellow classmates and Metrolina staff.

Patriot’s Day

Patriot’s Day is a day we take a moment to reflect and remember those we lost and honor those who still serve with a special ceremony held on September 11th.
