Easy Ways to Support MCA School Year 2010-11
During the school year, Metrolina Christian Academy has various programs and events that are “easy ways” for you and your family to support the school. You can choose from any of the programs and school nights listed and get involved. With these types of smaller scale programs, volume is critical so please encourage your relatives and friends to participate and help support MCA. GROCERY STORE PROGRAMS
Use your BI-LO BONUSCARD, Food Lion MVP Card and Harris Teeter VIC Card when you or a family member purchases groceries and help raise money for MCA. Choose MCA as your charity of choice when registering or linking your grocery card. YOU MUST RE-LINK YOUR GROCERY STORE REWARD CARD EACH SCHOOL YEAR!
Harris Teeter “Together in Education” – MCA receives a percentage of your purchase every time you buy groceries at Harris Teeter from August 1– May 31. You must RE-LINK your VIC card for the 2010-11 school. You can re-link your VIC card at the checkout at Harris Teeter or go to www.harristeeter.com (use first 11 digits only). The VIC code for MCA is 1205. If you do not have a VIC card, ask a Harris Teeter cashier how to apply for one.
BI-LO boostersplus Program – Use your BONUSCARD from August 1 - May 31 and support MCA when you enroll in the boostersplus program and buy groceries at BI-LO. You need an enrollment scan card to enroll in the program, and you must re-enroll each school year. They are available in the Elementary Office and the MS/HS Office or click here to print your BI-LO enrollment scan card. The next time you shop at BI-LO, give your BONUSCARD along with the enrollment scan card to the cashier. Once it’s scanned you are enrolled for the school year. If you do not have a BONUSCARD, stop by the Customer Service desk at BI-LO and sign up for one.
Food Lion MVP Classroom Rrewards – Each time you shop at Food Lion, use your MVP card and raise money for MCA. Register your MVP card (12 digits) at www.foodlion.com or call 1-704-633-8250 ext. 3810. The MCA school code is 213684. If you do not have a MVP card, ask the Food Lion cashier how to apply for one. the Classroom Rewards program is new at Food Lion, so be sure to re-enroll your MVP card.
BRAND-SPECIFIC SHOPPING
Box Tops for Education - MCA earns 10 cents for every General Mills “Box Top” logo you clip and save. Just cut off the labels from hundreds of participating General Mills products and send them to school with your child. Please place labels in a plastic bag marked with your child’s name and homeroom teacher. Your child can turn in the labels to his/her teacher.
Box Tops Marketplace – Shop online at over 60 stores through the Box Tops Marketplace and raise money for MCA. Up to 6% of your total purchase is donated to MCA. All you have to do is go to the Box Tops website (http://www.boxtops4education.com) and register your name and MCA as your school of choice. To shop, first go to the Box Tops website then click on the store link that you want to shop. It’s that easy!
Target “Take Charge of Education” - Every time you use your Target REDCard when you shop, MCA receives a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education program. Visit Target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate MCA as your school of choice.
Printer Cartridges - Save your empty inkjet printer cartridges from your home and office. MCA earns up to $1.00 for each cartridge recycled. This recycling program offers rebates on many brands, including Canon, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Xerox, Compaq and Apple. Keep them in a plastic bag or box so the print head will not be damaged. Please turn in cartridges to the school office.
Upromise School Program – This is a funding program that allows schools, like MCA, to earn cash donations when existing and new Upromise members link their account to MCA and participate in the Upromise service, which helps parents save for college. Hundreds of leading companies participate in Upromise to offer rewards on your everyday spending. To set-up your own Upromise account, go to www.upromise.com for more details and to register then click on Upromise School Programs to link MCA to your account.
Campbell’s Labels for Education Program - This is a great way for our school to earn FREE educational and athletic equipment for our kids. And it’s easy! Just save the labels from any of the hundreds of varieties of Campbell’s products. Please forward the labels to the school office.
Office Depot-5% Back to Schools – When shopping at Office Depot stores or online, provide MCA’s ID # 70061541 and the school receives credits equal to 5% of qualifying purchases to use for free supplies.

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream –Come join MCA at Bruster’s in Indian Trail for some really good ice cream and great fellowship with other MCA families. MCA receives a percentage of all sales. Come join us from 6:00 -9:00pm!
