The 2017-18 School Year Marks 25 Years of Distinctive Christian Education at MCA...
Celebrate with Us and Make a Special Anniversary Gift Today!
We can't think of a better way for your family to show your love for MCA than to celebrate this milestone with a special anniversary gift. In keeping with the 25th anniversary theme, MCA is asking every family to make a gift of $250 or more to the Annual Cornerstone Fund. We are also seeking 25 MCA families who will make a gift of $2,500 of more. (During the Kick-Off Event, which is Sept. 25-Oct. 20, when you make a financial gift of $250 or more, every student in your family receives the Cornerstone Fund "Grace Upon Grace" t-shirt. Give or pledge $2,500 and receive 2 adult MCA Under Armour polo shirts, plus every student in your family receives the Cornerstone Fund "Grace Upon Grace" t-shirt.)
"For from His fullness we have all received,
grace upon grace."
- John 1:16
This year’s theme for the 2017-18 Cornerstone Fund is “Grace Upon Grace.” Our inspiration is John 1:16, which states “For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” As MCA celebrates its 25th anniversary as a school, this theme embodies all that has taken place on our campus over the years. God has poured out His grace and blessings on our campus throughout these 25 years. We are so grateful, and believe He has more to give. Please join us in making our gifts to the Cornerstone Fund count for God as never before!
The Cornerstone Fund is Metrolina Christian Academy's annual giving initiative. It is our first priority of giving where everyone associated with our school is asked to make a financial gift during the school year. This gift is in addition to tuition and fees and any other money you may give MCA throughout the year.
The Cornerstone Fund serves to support the school's mission in training and equipping young people to be champions for Christ, as well as to provide a strong foundation for the continued growth of MCA's minsitry. The funds raised through the Cornerstone Fund not only provide 'extras' to many of the school's programs sooner than would otherwise be available but also allows MCA to keep tuition at a more affordable level for families seeking Christian education.
As a private Christian school, MCA does not receive funding from local, state or federal levels. Instead, MCA relies heavily on tuition income and voluntary financial support from parents, grandparents, staff, alumni, businesses and friends of the school.
The Annual Cornerstone Fund is our most critical fundraising effort because it supports all students (Early Education (EE) through 12th grade) and programs by providing for enhancements and improvements that are not otherwise covered by tuition. Your tax-deductible gift is vital in maintaining and improving educational excellence at MCA. Gifts of any size are a blessing and greatly needed as each one makes a difference in educating our students for the cause of Christ.
This year, MCA's Faith Goal is $350,000 with the monies raised to be invested in the followng areas (by percentage of amount raised):
Please go to How to Give to determine how you can bless the students at MCA with your financial gift.
Each year the Advancement Office coordinates several special events to raise funds for school programs and enhancements, as well as tuition assistance and special projects. Although the timing and the event may change slightly each year, the purpose of each event remains the same – to promote school unity, build community relations and raise money for this unique and special ministry in Union County. All events offer opportunities for tax-deductible giving since MCA, as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Kick-Off Event for the Cornerstone Fund (Sept. 25-Oct. 20, 2017)
MCA's annual four-week campaign in September-October to "kick-off" giving to the Cornerstone Fund. During this four-week period, every family is asked to make a financial donation to the school above and beyond the cost of tuition. We make an intentional effort to raise as much of our Faith Goal as possible during this time frame, so we can begin investing right away into programs and enhancements that directly impact our students.
Warrior Clay Classic (November 17, 2017)
A day planned for fellowship and fundraising as teams of 4 shooters set their sights on a few unsuspecting clay pigeons. Held at Meadow Wood Farm in Waxhaw, NC.
Boosterthon Fun Run for Lower School (Feb. 5-14, 2018)
