We're excited to partner with your family! Follow the steps below to begin the admissions process for Early Education, Kindergarten-12th, or Pathways.

1. Explore Our School

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. We encourage prospective families to take time to learn about Metrolina Christian Academy's mission, academic programs, student life, and Christ-centered approach to education. As a ministry of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, Metrolina partners with families to provide a biblically integrated education that nurtures students academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.

Explore our website to discover what makes our school unique - from our Pathways program and Early Education opportunities, to our college-preparatory academics, athletics, fine arts, and a vibrant community. We invite you to learn how God is at work in and through our school and consider whether Metrolina may be the right fit for your family.

2. Visit Our Campus

The best way to experience MCA is by visiting our campus. We encourage all prospective families to schedule a campus tour and meet with our Admissions Team before applying. While a campus visit is not required, it provides a firsthand look at our programs, community, and Christ-centered approach to education.

Campus tours for the 2027–2028 school year will open in September 2026. We look forward to welcoming your family to campus and giving you the opportunity to experience firsthand what makes Metrolina a place where students are equipped for Kingdom living.

3. Submit an Application

PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINES

Early Education

Early Education applications for the 27-28 School Year open January 11, 2027. To receive priority consideration, submit your application by February 26, 2027. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available in each grade level.

Submit an application for each child with a $150 non-refundable fee on or before February 26, 2027. Once the application is processed, parents can view the admissions checklist in the online application portal. To apply for the 2027-2028 school year:
- For the Two Year Old program, children should be two years old by August 31, 2027
- For the K3 program, children should be three years old by August 31, 2027
- For Jr. Kindergarten, children should be four years old by August 31, 2027
Supporting documents are due by March 5, 2027. Required materials include birth certificate, medical report, immunization record, and any previous testing/services, if applicable (i.e SLP, OT, PT etc.).
After an application has been received the admissions office will schedule a 30-minute on-campus family meeting. Families will meet with an admissions representative and/or early education administration. This conversation is an opportunity to learn more about Metrolina Christian Academy and share your goals for the next step in your student’s educational journey.
Admissions decisions for completed applications for Early Education applicants (Two Years Old - Jr. Kindergarten) with all required documents will be emailed on April 9th, 2027.

*To be considered in the first round of decisions, applications must be received and files completed by the deadlines listed above. After these dates, Metrolina Christian Academy will maintain rolling admissions where grade level space permits.

aPPLICATIONS CURRENTLY CLOSED

Kindergarten

Kindergarten applications for the 27-28 School Year open October 12, 2026. To receive priority consideration, submit your application by December 31, 2026. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available in each grade level.

Supporting documents are due by January 15, 2027. Required materials include birth certificate, medical report, immunization record, and paperwork related to modifications or accommodations, if applicable (i.e psychoeducational evaluations, IEP, 504 plan, etc). Timely receipt of these materials supports an efficient process for both the student and Metrolina Christian Academy.
A standardized admissions screening is one tool used to determine the best placement for each Kindergarten applicant. After an application has been submitted and all supporting documents have been received, families will be contacted to schedule a screening.
Once the readiness screening has been completed, the admissions office will schedule a 30-minute on-campus family meeting. Families will meet with lower school admininstration and/or an admissions representative . This conversation is an opportunity to learn more about Metrolina Christian Academy and share your goals for the next step in your student’s educational journey.
Admissions decisions for completed Kindergarten applications with all required documents will be emailed on February 26, 2027.

Grades 1-5

Grades 1-5 applications for the 27-28 School Year open October 12, 2026. To receive priority consideration, submit your application by January 15, 2027. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available in each grade level.

Supporting documents are due by January 29, 2027. Required materials include birth certificate, immunization records, current report card, last year's final report card, standardized testing, discipline report, and paperwork related to modifications or accommodations, if applicable (i.e psychoeducational evaluations, IEP, 504 plan, etc). Timely receipt of these materials supports an efficient process for both the student and Metrolina Christian Academy.
Once an applicant’s file materials are complete, a family interview will be scheduled if there is space available in the grade level applied for. This conversation is an opportunity to learn more about Metrolina Christian Academy and share your goals for the next step in your student’s educational journey.
Admissions decisions for completed applications for Grades 1 - 5 with all required documents will be emailed on March 19, 2027.

Grades 6-12

Grades 6-12 applications for the 27-28 School Year open October 12, 2026. To receive priority consideration, submit your application by January 15, 2027. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available in each grade level.

Supporting documents are due by January 29, 2027. Required materials include birth certificate, immunization records, current report card, last year's final report card, standardized testing, discipline report, and paperwork related to modifications or accommodations, if applicable (i.e psychoeducational evaluations, IEP, 504 plan, etc). Enrollment Policies

Metrolina has an open enrollment policy. This means as long as there are openings in a grade level, the student’s schedule, academics, and behavior records are a good fit for our program, we can enroll students. We may not be able to accept students with failing grades and/or discipline issues. Acceptances are based on available space, which is very limited in grades where we do not grow enrollment. Typically, we accept the largest number of students in Kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade.
