Students in sixth through twelfth grades have the opportunity to grow musically, creatively, and spiritually through participation in the MCA Band Program. Students study the fundamentals of music through instruction and performance on wind and percussion instruments while developing discipline, teamwork, confidence, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

The mission of the band program is to lead students toward quality music-making experiences by encouraging personal responsibility, commitment to group goals, and faithful stewardship of God’s gift of music. Through rehearsals, performances, and collaborative learning, students are challenged to pursue excellence while using their talents to serve others and glorify Christ.

Band students regularly serve the MCA community through performances at athletic events, school ceremonies, and special campus activities. Throughout the year, students also showcase their growth and dedication during the annual Christmas Concert and Spring Concert, providing meaningful opportunities for families and the school community to celebrate the arts together.

Our Band Program includes several performance opportunities designed to help students develop a wide range of musical skills and experiences:

• Concert Band – Focuses on foundational musicianship, ensemble performance, music literacy, and concert repertoire.
• Jazz Band – Introduces students to jazz styles, improvisation, rhythm, and contemporary performance techniques.
• Marching Band – Combines musical performance with movement and school spirit while cultivating teamwork, precision, and leadership.

Whether students are discovering music for the first time or continuing to grow in their musical abilities, the MCA Band Program seeks to equip and inspire students to pursue excellence, serve with humility, and use their gifts for Kingdom impact.
