Theatre
About our Program
The mission of the MCA theatre program is to inspire students to achieve their God-given potential in theatre through excellent productions and classes, in a professional and challenging environment. Lower school students have the opportunity to participate in an acting class after school for those interested in developing their confidence, self-esteem, and skills in verbal communication. Middle School students are introduced to the basic concepts and history of theatre arts. Students use various drama techniques to build confidence in their creative talents, cultivate imagination, and develop characterization through role-play. In High School, students have class options to train them in acting and technical expertise. Yearly productions provide opportunities to work onstage and backstage. The Spring Musical provides an opportunity for students to combine their music, drama, and dance skills in the culmination of an outstanding production. MCA theatre is designed to equip students to use their talents to glorify God in the classroom and beyond.
