Theatre Program
Beginning in the Lower School years, students have opportunities to explore and develop their creativity through summer acting camps, designed to strengthen confidence, self-esteem, public speaking, and verbal communication skills. These experiences help students become more comfortable expressing themselves while learning the value of teamwork, preparation, and perseverance.
In Middle School, students are introduced to the foundational concepts and history of theatre arts. Through role-play, performance exercises, and drama techniques, students cultivate imagination, develop characterization skills, and grow in confidence as performers and communicators. Theatre instruction also encourages students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and appreciate storytelling as a powerful form of communication and expression.
At the High School level, students have opportunities to pursue more advanced training in both performance and technical theatre. Course offerings equip students with acting techniques, stage presence, production knowledge, and technical expertise in areas such as stage design, lighting, sound, and backstage production. Students are encouraged to pursue excellence while learning the responsibility and discipline required to produce high-quality performances.
Yearly productions provide students with valuable opportunities to serve both onstage and backstage, allowing every student to contribute according to their gifts and interests. Our Theatre Program is designed not only to develop artistic skill, but also to equip students to use their creativity, character, and talents to honor Christ and impact others for His glory in the classroom, on the stage, and beyond.

The mission of the MCA Theatre Program is to inspire students to pursue their God-given potential in the performing arts through excellent productions, meaningful instruction, and a professional yet encouraging environment. Through theatre, students are challenged to grow creatively, communicate confidently, collaborate effectively, and use their talents to glorify God both on and off the stage.
