2018-2019 Theatre Season

Presented by Metrolina Christian Academy’s Upper School Theatre Program
Book by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay, Lyrics by Johnny Mercer, Music by Gene de Paul, New Songs by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn

Set in the rough-and-tumble backwoods of Oregon in the 1850s, where every man still took for himself, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a delightful story about creating civilization in the wilderness. When Milly married handsome backwoodsman, Adam, she had no idea she would be responsible for taking care of his six younger brothers as well. Milly quickly whips her rowdy brothers-in-law into shape, and show them how they can court and win beautiful mates of their own. When Adam convinces his brothers to kidnap the girls they like, however, Milly’s plans go dreadfully awry.

SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized materials are also supplied by MTI.

Night of the Arts

Join MCA for a Night of the Arts on November 15, 2018 at 7:00pm in our Worship and Performing Arts Center. Let us entertain you with a night of music and drama from the silver screen to the Broadway stage. Middle and High School students have been working hard this semester to showcase what they have learned in their Drama and Choir courses. This is a free event for Metrolina students, families, and the community.

Art, in all its forms, is an essential part of the curriculum at MCA. More importantly, it is a way to glorify God with the talents He has given us. We invite everyone to attend this event to support these performing Warriors as they demonstrate their God-given talents on the stage.
