All athletes wishing to try out for a sport must have a current physical on file with the trainer/MCA athletic department in order to participate in tryouts.
State law mandates you must have a current physical on file in order to tryout for any school sport. There will be no exceptions to this; therefore please make every provision to obtain the physical as soon as possible. In this current climate, there is a 30-day grace period allowed from the date of expiration from your last physical. For your convenience, we have checked with Novant and Atrium Health. They are now taking non-sick appointments. CVS Minute Clinic is also taking appointments. Visit the facility of your choice to obtain all the information needed. Also, some offices are also willing to conduct virtual appointments as long as your child’s immunization records are up to date. We will collect these forms on the day of tryouts. 2020 Fall Tryouts
We are following the guidelines established by the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association as we proceed.

- Be advised, all student athletes need to bring their personal water bottle.
- Per NCISAA, parents are not allowed at tryouts or practices as we do everything possible to mitigate Covid 19 and provide our athletes an opportunity to play.
Also, our August 13th Family Night will not occur in the sanctuary, however it will be made available via video next week. We will send out a link.

MCA will provide transportation to the respective locations for try‐outs, except golf and tennis. Golf will need to meet at Rolling Hills Country Club. Weather: The safety of our athletes and families is of great importance. During inclement weather situations the athletic department will make a call as early as possible to inform you of any changes regarding tryouts, practices, or games. If bad weather occurs quickly during the time of play, athletes will be in a safe place at their respective locations.
