Parent Worldview Night

MCA and FBCIT’s Family Ministry will be hosting a Worldview Night for parents on January 14, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the FBCIT Worship Center. We are excited to welcome our two guest speakers Dr. Kathy Koch, Founder and President of Celebrate Kids, Inc., and Jason Jimenez, Founder and President of Stand Strong Ministries, who will be speaking on how to raise resilient kids in a digital world.

This night is so important that we will be offering an extra credit quiz grade that will be applied to the third quarter for MCA upper school students who have at least one parent attend the session. For lower school students who have at least one parent attend, they will receive a homework free night or a treat from the treasure box depending on their grade level. We will also have a drawing that night for two free registration fees for the 2025-2026 school year.

Below are details of what they will be addressing that night:

Digital Obsession and its Dangerous Effects with Jason Jimenez
In today's fast-paced digital world, social media's magnetic pull has become deeply intertwined with every aspect of our society, shaping the lives of our children in ways that were once hard to fathom. In this session, we will explore the negative impact of social media on children and discuss effective strategies to monitor and minimize these effects while nurturing your children in the Christian faith.

Raise Resilient Kids Who Embrace Life with Confidence with Dr. Kathy Koch
Learning about resiliency’s many benefits will inspire you to let your children struggle so they can learn from the experiences. You’ll discover how to support and instruct them without over-protecting them or rescuing them too soon. Learn how to walk that fine line, the best ways to help children handle their disappointments when things don’t go their way, and how to encourage them when they give up. Dr. Kathy’s practical techniques work!
