The Cornerstone Fund is our annual giving initiative for Metrolina Christian Academy. It is our first giving priority where everyone associated with our school is asked to give a financial gift during the school year. This gift is in addition to tuition and fees and any other money you may give MCA throughout the year.
For MCA, the Cornerstone Fund is our most critical fundraising effort because it supports all students (Early Education through 12th grade) and programs by providing for enhancements and improvements that are not otherwise covered by tuition.
Contributions go towards enhancements and improvements in the academic, athletic and extracurricular pursuits for all MCA students.
- Early Education
- Financial assistance for students
- Fine arts
- Extracurricular activities
- Professional development
- Campus improvements
Tuition does not cover the total cost to educate your child. Contributing to the Annual Cornerstone Fund at MCA is one of the most critical ways to help the school continue its mission of educating young people for the cause of Christ. And by giving above and beyond tuition, MCA can keep tuition at a more reasonable level for all those seeking a biblically based Kingdom education. Your tax deductible gift – whether it is $2,500 or $25 – works to make a difference in the life of each student.
A goal of MCA is to provide a strong biblically based Kingdom education to all who seek it; therefore, we strive to keep tuition reasonable. When tuition does increase, it is for the purpose of improving teacher and staff pay and benefits, and the overall operating budget of the school. Although tuition covers a large portion of the operating costs of the school, it does not provide for the continued growth and development needs of MCA. This is the purpose of the Annual Cornerstone Fund, MCA’s first priority giving initiative – to help raise additional funds for school enhancements and the development of academic and extracurricular programs at MCA.
Each family is asked to prayerfully consider the amount they can give to the Annual Cornerstone Fund. We pray that current families and friends of the school will give as generously as possible and that it is in keeping with their capacity to give. Every single gift, regardless of the amount, is a blessing. Please give what you can and demonstrate your faith in our school.
The easiest way to make a gift is to use the secure online giving option (go to top right on this page). You can also make a gift by check (payable to Metrolina Christian Academy) and send to:

Yes, they are tax-deductible, because MCA, as a ministry of First Baptist Church Indian Trail, is a 501©(3) non-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We recommend you consult with your accountant or tax advisor for specific guidance on your gift.
Although the Cornerstone Fund raises money all year long (July 1st - June 30th) with several special events and programs, MCA makes an intentional effort to raise as much as possible during its four-week campaign, known as the Kick-Off Event for the Cornerstone Fund. The Kick-Off Event for the 2018-19 Cornerstone Fund is September 24th - October 12th. We make this big push to raise most of our $350,000 Faith Goal during this four-week campaign, so we can start investing the money right away in the programs and enhancements that directly impact our students.
If you are unable to give during the Kick-Off Event, you have until June 30, 2019 to give in support of the Cornerstone Fund at MCA.
Yes! You can pledge a gift amount to the Annual Cornerstone Fund at anytime during the school year and make recurring payments. This is a great way to maximize the impact of your gift by giving a greater amount over a period of time. For example, donate $100 per month for 12 months = $1,200.
The Advancement Office will record your pledge and send you monthly reminders so you can fulfill your gift commitment to MCA by June 30th.
Although MCA makes a big push to raise money during a four week period in the fall (known as the Kick-Off Event for the Cornerstone Fund), we raise money all year long (July 1st - June 30th).
MCA relies on your gifts to the Cornerstone Fund to support all areas, including academics, technology, athletics, art, drama, campus improvements, and financial aid – the costs of educating students that exceed tuition. While the Cornerstone Fund is our first priority in giving at MCA, it is our prayer that you will also prayerfully support the school's capital campaign opportunities, like the Limitless Building Campaign.
Gifts to the Cornerstone Fund help us live, while gifts to the Limitless Building Campaign help us grow.
