Our Vision
CONSTRUCTION HAS STARTED.....
In August 2021, MCA removed two modular classrooms and initiated the ground breaking for the first of two new educational buildings. Construction has now been completed for educational building #1, and our high school students have been able to experience Kingdom education since August!
In November 2021, MCA began clearing land for its new track & field complex. We're excited to provide a home for our Warriors track & field program - projected completion date is summer of 2023.
MCA removed two more modular classrooms and started construction on educational building #2. We anticipate a completion date of spring 2023. (UPDATE: Project completed March 2023 and our middle school students are enjoying the new instructional space.)
Check out the Media Gallery for construction progress on Educational Building #2 and Track & Field Complex.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
As we continue the 2022-23 school year, we are excited to move ahead with Phase 4, the final phase of our Limitless Building Campaign - "PATH FORWARD". After pausing the project due to COVID-19, we are now back on track to continue with our vision to reshape our campus, expand our community, and enhance the quality of our programs so that the generation to come might know Him.
Our goal for the "PATH FORWARD" Phase 4 is two-fold in design. First, we will add two educational buildings (a total of 18 classrooms) to create more interactive and enhanced learning opportunities for middle and high school students. Next, MCA will focus on developing a track and field complex that will feature eight lanes and areas for all field events, plus provide additional green space for physical education classes.
The two educational buildings will add 17,300 square feet to our campus and the track and field complex develops an additional 7.33 acres. The goal for Phase 4 of the Limitless Building Campaign is to raise a minimum of $4.25 million.
Budget:
- Educational Building #1 - $1.35 million
- Educational Building #2 - $1.2 million
- Track and Field Complex - $1.7 million
We envision that the two new educational buildings will create interactive, age-appropriate student meeting spaces, resulting in enhanced learning opportunities. Most importantly, we envision the additional learning spaces making it possible for us to be more efficient in training disciples of Christ who will influence their peers, neighborhoods, and communities for Christ.
Our vision for these two educational buildings is to provide top quality learning spaces that more than adequately meet the needs of 21st century learners. These new buildings will enable us to dispose of four (4) modular classrooms.
Educational Building #1 (Phase 1)
This new building will be approximately 9853 square feet with 10 classrooms and will provide full programming for over 200 students in Middle School and High School. It will be located adjacent to the Jason Williams Activity Center and will eliminate the need for modular classrooms
E and F.
Construction Started:
August 2021
Completed:
June 2022
Educational Building #2 (Phase 2)
This building will add nearly 7500 square feet of educational space and include eight classrooms dedicated to our middle school students. It will be a two-story addition to the current older education building, making it possible to remove modular classrooms B and C.
Construction Started:
June 2022
Completed:
March 2023
Track & Field Complex
The track and field will feature eight lanes for track and areas equipped for shot put, long jump, and all field events. The complex will also provide an additional green space for physical education and serve as another field space for the school. This complex will provide our track & field student-athletes with a "home" to practice (no more parking lots) and compete. It will also allow for our school to host regional and state track meets. It will be located in the area adjacent to the Lower School playground.
Construction Started:
November 2021
Projected Completion:
Summer 2023

THE NEED
We are extremely blessed with wonderful facilities for many of our MCA programs because of the financial support of so many within the Metrolina family and community.
But as we continue to pursue excellence and the mission of MCA continues to flourish, the lack of adequate facilities for track and field and limited green space for our physical education classes has reached a pivotal level for our school.
In the spring of 2010, MCA started its track and field program with a handful of students participating, and now more than 140 students are involved. Through the years, our students have practiced faithfully and with great results in the parking lots on our campus. The track and field program keeps growing and producing outstanding results, even though our students and community of supporters have yet to experience a home meet here at MCA. The addition of the track and field complex will provide for a dedicated space for our student-athletes to practice and to compete on their own ‘home field’, as well as host regional and state track meets.
Here at MCA, we desire to provide our students with a quality track and field facility, so they can pursue their God-given abilities and to expand the opportunities for physical education classes. And we need your help to build this nearly 7.5 acre facility, so we can strengthen and grow this part of our ministry.

Completed Building Phases
Educational Building #2
With a big thanks to our Metrolina family, we have another portion of Phase 4 of the Limitless Campaign completed. In March 2023, Educational Building #2 was completed. This two (2) level, 8-classroom addition added nearly 7500 square foot and is now creating new and exciting learning opportunities for our middle school students.
We continue to be blessed by the overflow of generosity from our MCA families and friends, who helped make this possible. This building has also been constructed debt-free! God's provision is truly above and beyond what we could imagine!
Educational Building #1
Educational Building #1, which is part of Phase 4 of the Limitless Campaign, was completed Summer 2022! This educational building has recently become a wonderful new learning space for many of our Upper School students. This 9,853 sq. ft. building has provided 10 new classrooms for primarily 9th and 10th grade classes!
We are beyond grateful for the prayers and gifts of our MCA families and friends to make this possible! God's provision is above and beyond what we could imagine!
Worship and Performing Arts Center
Phase 3 of the Limitless Campaign was completed Summer 2018! God worked in a mighty way to make this possible and we are so thankful for his provision. Our new Worship and Performing Arts Center is meeting the needs of our students in the following ways:
- A band room
- A drama room
- A music/dance room
- Multi-purpose space - dining for students of all ages and stage for performing arts events (This new dining space for MCA students is adjacent to our present Field House kitchen enabling MCA to provide expanded food service options during student lunches.)
- Classrooms for additional educational support
- More office space
- Restrooms
- Additional storage spaces
Visual Arts & Technology Building
Phase 2 of the Limitless Building Campaign is complete! In mid-January 2017 the 6,600 sq. ft., Visual Arts & Technology Building became home to students for classes such as High School Art I, II and III, and Computer Technology classes for Middle School students and New Media and MOS classes for High School students. Another beautiful addition to our campus! Through the generosity of MCA families and friends of the school, we are blessed to have this need met and paid for!
Thank you for supporting the growth of Metrolina Christian Academy!
Math & Science Building
Look at what God has accomplished through His people in Phase 1 of the Limitless Building Campaign! We can truly say, “Mission Accomplished” on completing Phase 1 of the Limitless Building Campaign. We occupied our new 6,600 sq. ft. Math and Science Building in mid-January 2016. What a beautiful addition to our campus! This new building is a great blessing in meeting the needs of our ever growing student population.
An even greater blessing is that through the generosity of MCA families and friends of the school, this building is paid for!!
